You Are Forever Forgiven!

Ephesians 1:4 “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ Jesus to be Holy and without fault in His eyes.”

{quiet…}   You are Loved. You are holy and faultless. You are forever forgiven. And You are God’s dwelling place. This is who You are.  Derwin Gray, exert from P31 Study, Limitless Life You are More than Your Past When God Holds Your Future.

Jesus defines you – He defines me…He took our place, when God looks at us – He sees Jesus. Only Him, not our labels, or our sins, and disappointments.

I just finished reading {out loud} Chapter 2 From Addict to Free – And I am blown away at the simplicity of the gospel; and the incredible weight of what Jesus has done for us. Truthfully, I know what Jesus did for us -I have been taught all of this since I was a little girl…but today I am in Awe of ” …the breadth and length and height and depth…of His love for us…” Ephesians 3:18. I read this chapter out loud so I could hear and feel the words — if you have never tried this…it will open your heart to new insights into Christs love for us.

I am so very thankful, and feel so unworthy – but am so blessed to know that God has always loved me …ALWAYS – even before my Mom& Dad loved me – He did…What an awesome feeling. I have been blessed with amazing parents, they have always been right there for me, always – which for me makes it easier to accept the Love of God – I know through reading some of the comments on the Blog Hop this past week, that there are people that did not have this example…But the amazing thing is God Loved them before their time on earth began also! “Amazing love how can it be – that thou my God should die for me.”Author: Charles Wesley (1738) (hymn from my childhood -one of my favs)

I am so blessed to have found this P31 OBS community.

When I felt unloved, abandoned, and rejected – they  made feel Alive in Christ once more…We all need community. We all Need God – He is our all in all!

Blessings,

Teresa

IN THE VALLEY OF SHEEP

I Samuel 17:32-33 ” And David said to Saul,  ‘Let no man’s heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.’ And Saul said to David, ‘You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him, for you are but a youth, ….”

David didn’t care how big Goliath was. He only knew how big his God was. {from Derwin Gray’s Limitless Life}!

I really marinated on this these past few days…and let it resound in my heart. Do I get caught up in what everyone else says I can’t do, or should be? Do you?  I think I do.  However, I really started thinking, how in the world can I focus on what all these “sheep” are saying….bleh bleh bleh and bleh bleh baaa; When I serve a BIG God! I mean I have seen HIM do miraculous things.  When I couldn’t pay my electric bill last year, and I didn’t tell anyone about it. A church in my town, called to say – from time to time we hear of a family in need, and well we would like to pay your electric bill this month…Only God!  Or the day I was feeling especially low – and out of the blue someone from Focus on the Family called and said every once in a while when we pray for our readers, we get a sense from the Lord to place a call and see if there is anything we can pray about- today it’s you! Or how about this one, my daughter was to leave on a trip to Florida for her business class, and I was only going to be able to give a little bit of money to spend, and 2 days before she was to leave, our company gave out bonuses to all the employees – for a job well done!  God Can do so much more than we can imagine. So why should we focus on what all the sheep around us are saying…you know the labels they place on us, such as;  you are too quiet, you talk too much, you should never wear that color it makes you look fat, or washed out. We Serve an Amazing God – He loves us so much. We are His Children.   He Cares about what happens with us! So as I look back over this first Chapter of Limitless Life;  I can say I am feeling the stitches being loosed from the “afraid” label, so that my new “Courageous” label can be sewn in!! Praise the Lord!

I was also thinking –  what if we used those 5 small smooth stones as a remembrance  like they did in David’s time, when something important happened, they built a remembrance with the stones…. –  we were afraid – but as David slung those stones at Goliath and he fell the symbol of their fear!  We can also use these stones as a remembrance of our fears, and how we can be Courageous!!!

Blessings, Teresa

Parenting tips….

I just read Tracie Miles Encouragement for today from yesterday – “Enjoying the season of Parenting…” and she asked for some parenting tips. Being a single mom, it is rough and tough out there; however, when I am on my game {not thinking too much about the past} I remember to do as I say in the comment I made on her blog.  I thought I would share. Love all of you that read this…May God Richly bless You!!!

I do find it a privilege and an honor to be able to be called Mom. Parenting tips…hum, I think you have to ground yourself in the Word of God, start your Day with HIM – and then wing it — okay, no trust Him to lead and guide. What has worked for me is to give my children space to make mistakes but to be there for them when they mess up. You will notice I said When, because they will. However, I would rather they mess up and know they can come to me as they grow then to get out into the world and have no where to turn! So Be the Light for your children, Be so ensconced in His Love – that He is what they see!
Philippians 4:13 ” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
John 16:33 ” ….In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

In Christs’ Love, Teresa

Community

noun  1. a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.  2. a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

{This will be my first Blog Post to the Blog Hop for P31 OBS} We were given the word Community and what it means to us!

alice in wonderland the rabbit is me

So this was our rendition of Alice in Wonderland  (+ a few different costumes) at our office…in 2013 for Halloween – We love to get together and find fun things to do as a unit!  However, when we go through our everyday duties, we work towards a common goal. We work to ensure that our clients are happy, and satisfied with our service; as well as making sure our business is prosperous.

As Christians, we are like my coworkers and I; we work together to ensure that Christ is Glorified! Above all – He is most important.

So for me-being a part of the Proverbs 31 “community” – is an amazing opportunity to work together with those of like mind, towards a common goal.   The Great Commission.

Matthew 28:16-20

New International Version (NIV)

The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

So sharing with each other via our individual blogs, our Facebook posts or our comments on the P31 blog is very important to the community of Christ!  Love you all, Keep on Keeping on for Him!

Blessings to all!  Teresa

My New Adventure

Blogging?  How in the world do you set up a blog. Ugh! I have been sitting at this computer for 45 minutes, and am still unsure of what I am doing.  What I know is I want to write.  Anything. Everything. But where? How?

I have joined a writing club, I am so excited about it.  It is a small club, 5 people at the most…but I love it.  The free write is my favorite. A subject is given, or words are requested, or like last week – an item is placed in front of us to write about. I had a blast. The item was a statue of a sea captain. What fun it was to take 10 minutes and write a bit a of a descriptive story – the 5 of us took on the challenge, and oh it was so interesting to see the different ideas each of us had.  I described the last day of this ole sea captains journey on the sea. Another of my friends, described a naval seal, now passed on.  Next month, we are all writing (ahead of time) a Devotional to share, and work on to have published. I am very excited.

I wonder who will read this? Maybe no one, but sure is great to put pen to page or in this case, fingers to the keyboard.

God Bless – Find Your Passion.

Consider it all Joy!

James 1:2-3  ” Consider it pure joy, my brothers (& sisters) whenever you face trials of many kinds , because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.”  What a great reminder to us that we will face trials, but they do not have to kill us!  They make us stronger, what’s that song,”…what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger…”  Our Trials make us stronger- so that we can be able to help those who may go through the same things we do.  I have been through a rough 4/5 years…divorce is a horrible thing…but God is using me to help others going through the same things.  The funny thing is that while I am here for them, I learn so much from them.  God is growing me. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you , and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!!”  Praise the Lord!  Yesterday, Dr Gorgui, our lay minister, gave an incredible message….on Trials & Temptations – with James 1: 2-8; 12-16;  22&25 – hit me right where I am….Praise the Lord he spoke right to my heart!  He likened our trials as to the purification of Gold – where it has to stay in the fire for quite a while, until all the imperfections rise to the top, and then can be scooped off….and reveal the purified, and cleansed precious Gold!   He has been doing that with me, testing me in the fires(trials), so that all the imperfections rise to the top….and then one day I will sit at his feet Pure and Clean for HIM!!  Praise the Lord – I am free in Him!!  And on this day of Memorial – I also thank those who have given their lives so that we may enjoy these freedoms…I remember especially two – that touched my life, Cory Palmer, and Rick James….these 2 young men gave their lives for us so that we may live free!  Lord please bless these families as they remember their sons, who died way to early.!!

Thank you Lord for your Son – who died for our freedom to live for you!
